Chris Merrill, LEED AP Owner

Chris Merrill Chris Merrill is the President and Owner of C. Merrill Construction, LLC. With over 25 years in the construction industry, Chris's professional experiences include commercial renovations, mid-size industrial projects, new commercial projects and a variety of high-end residential and specialty construction projects. Chris's vision for CMC was to establish the areas leading Design Build and Construction Management firm. Chris has stayed true to his vision and surrounded himself with a team of professionals, each bringing a unique expertise from the various construction trades.

Bill Blount CFO

Bill Blount is new to C. Merrill Construction but certainly no stranger to the construction field. He has a Construction Management Degree from Georgia Southern (2008) along with a minor in Business and a degree in Consumer Economics from The University of Georgia (2004). A native to Statesboro, Bill has witnessed the construction and economic growth over the last 20 years and is eager to apply his talents and skills as CFO for C. Merrill Construction. Bill is a Paul Harris Fellow in Rotary International and is a current local Statesboro Rotary member.

Jennifer Paddock, NCIDQ Interior Design,
Project Manager

Jennifer Paddock has an in Interior Design degree from Georgia Southern University. Certified by NCIDQ, Jennifer started her career working for Palmer Architects. During the eight years with Palmer, Jennifer managed all aspects of the firm’s interior design services, including numerous interior design contracts, FF&E purchasing and installation for clients including: Residential, Financial, Hospitality, Restaurants and University Housing. In 2015 Jennifer made a career change and joined CMC and has since completed over forty in-house designs. Jennifer’s ability to interpret the client’s vision has made her an in-valuable asset to our firm. Her experiences consist of schematic design, programming, space planning, project scheduling, construction documents, interior and exterior finishes, bid packages and current code compliance.

Chase Merrill Project Manager,
Estimator

Chase Merrill graduated from Auburn University in 2017. With Chris being his father, Chase was immersed in the industry from an early age. During his youth he worked with a variety of specialty crews including framing, concrete, surveying, layout, landscaping and general commercial labor. In college, Chase worked with Rabren General Contracting as an Assistant Project Manager. There he gained supplementary knowledge and experience in a large corporate construction setting. Between C. Merrill Construction and Rabren Construction, Chase has gained not only hands on experience, but valuable knowledge in document control, site management, scheduling, project controls, cash flow, owner and architect relations, project delivery and quality control.

Keith Egan Project Manager,
Operations Manager

Keith Egan has been a dedicated Operations and Project Manager for C. Merrill Construction, LLC. for over three years. Keith is an effective leader who excels at using proven methods in the construction field to complete projects, streamlines operations, and increases productivity. Mr. Egan’s early education at Benedictine Military Academy (1992 graduate) prepared him for a management career that has spanned over several industries. Keith managed and completed several successful field renovation projects with his family business, Rapid Turf of America (Joe Robbie Stadium in Miami, FL and Cat Cay Island in the Bahamas). Keith went on to work for Bremer Concrete and Masonry as a Project Manager. His experience with project scheduling, construction documents, bid packages, quality inspection, construction safety, material takeoffs and estimating has delivered exceptional results for C. Merrill’s commercial projects.

C. Merrill Construction LLC. was established in August of 2011 by owner Chris Merrill. Chris has since grown CMC into a respectable general contracting company with the completion of nearly 100 commercial projects in the last seven years. Our firm averages over 30% growth in annual revenue and has grown from a one man operation into a company with over 15 employees. CMC has become a firm well known across the community, bringing professional construction practices in quality, safety, and public relations to the Georgia and South Carolina areas. C. Merrill Construction focuses on commercial renovations and new construction for County, Municipal and State entities. We specialize in Design Build and Construction Management projects, as well as, commercial renovations of occupied facilities and have a proven track record of successful projects completed on time and within the owner’s budget.
